We are at 38 weeks..........isnt that more than 9 months? Ill never understand that one?! Anyway, Kims belly is way out there now and she is starting to feel the effects of carrying around a 5lb 12oz little boy in her belly. That weigh in came on Tuesday, so he should be over 6 lbs now. We are going to the doctor every Tuesday now and we just got our last ultrasound of him before the real thing. These pictures look like there may be a chance that he looks like a Branham!! Pretty sure he has my (Lee) nose, but we are going to have to wait and see to be sure now.....its a toss up! We sit and watch her belly now just morph like some sort of thing you see on the sci-fi channel. He has had the hiccups quite a bit, which is quite funny I have to say, but very uncomfortable for Kim.
We have now decided to stay near home and not venture to far, just in case. His room is finished, we have received everything that we could need (we think) for his arrival. Thanks to everyone for the gifts to help get us started. Kim had the fireman put the car seat base in on Friday, the stroller is together, his bouncer is together, and everything else is on call for when needed!
THANKS to everyone for everything and please keep little Cade and Kim in your prayers. Soon he will be here to meet everyone!!
P.S. This post dedicated to Katie Williams and her persistance.

31 Weeks and Loving It!
It's so hard to believe that I'm in my 31st week of pregnancy and in only 9 short weeks Lee and I will officially be proud parents of baby Cade! That is, if I actually go on my due date...which I'm praying hard that I don't go over! :) Other than my recent cold/flu and minor instances tinkling on myself, I've been feeling great these days! Yes, you read that last sentence correctly...don't get me coughing or laughing too hard! :)
I don't think I've said it enough, but Lee has been so wonderful throughout this entire experience that it has made every day more enjoyable! I'm so lucky to have such a loving husband and soon to be dad! He is going to be the best dad ever! I can't wait to see him hold Cade in his arms! We both say every day how we can't wait to see his little face! I know by the last ultrasound pictures that he is going to look just like Lee...and that is perfectly fine by me!
I have to say though, I'm really enjoying my pregnancy and my growing belly! I think I'm really going to miss him being in my belly too. Every move he makes is so amazing to me and I love every nudge, punch and kick. He is quite the mover these days. Lee and I often wonder if he's dancing in there... some of the moves he makes are so wild. I'll never forget the first time he moved really big for Lee...Lee jumped out of bed and screamed! It was hilarious! This was several weeks ago and it seems to us that his moves are changing every day. We are thinking that he has really grown the last few weeks...and babycenter.com confirms this! It says that in my 31st week the baby is heading into a growing spurt and measures around 16 inches long and a little over 3 pounds! WOW!
Did you all know that I weighed 10lb-12oz when I was born?? Yep, that's the truth! I was huge! My aunt Jeannie recently told me that she was in the room with my mom while delivering me and they thought I was for sure a boy when they saw my big shoulder pop out! haha! I love that story! But I'm praying Cade isn't that big...I don't know if I'll be as strong of a woman as my mom was! Lee only weighed 7lb-7oz so I'm hoping Cade is more like that size! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
xoxo, Kim

Belly Laughs - Week 24
Hi Everyone! It's Kim! I thought I would start posting my own notes on here in addition to Lee's updates.
As soon as I found out we were expecting, my sister told me I needed to get on babycenter.com to keep updated and get lots of info on my pregnancy. This site is great. It has everything you need to know from A-Z about getting pregnant, being pregnant, newborns, toddler years and so much more. Whenever I have the slightest concern, I just get on there and search for the answer. It is so helpful. Another great thing about the website is that you can sign up for weekly updates to be emailed to you...just in case you don't have a lot of time to navigate through the site. This has been really fun for Lee and I to read every week about how our baby boy is growing and developing.
Just a few weeks ago though I noticed that at the main bottom of the email update is a section called "BELLY LAUGHS". I wish I would have noticed these earlier because they really do make us laugh and calm us down about some of the other serious things we tend to stress about. So I thought I would share these "belly laughs" with you in hopes you get a good laugh from them like we do. Enjoy!!
BELLY LAUGHS:
Count your blessings if you're having a boy...The penis of a rhinoceros is 2 feet long.
The penis of a mosquito is a hundredth of an inch long.
The praying mantis bites her mate's head off while he impregnates her.
Elephants are pregnant for two years.
Many animals give birth to a dozen or more babies at a time.
Your baby won't be born with hooves.

Feb 3rd.....2nd ULTRASOUND
Today was our 4th doctors appointment since the positive test we got in our bathroom! We were fortunate enough to get another ultrasound and another look at our little boy. We think his profile looks like Kim, but hes definitely got my rear end! Everything is going perfect according to the doctors and he is pacing for a MAY 28th arrival. He weighed in at 1 lb 3 oz. In one of the photos, you can actually see him flexing his bicep! The nurse said he will probably be a baseball player like his Daddy! We go back to the doc March 3rd and Kim gets to drink 10 ounces of some nasty orange drink to make sure she isnt diabetic. Other than that, it should be a relatively quick appointment. Be sure to check back soon, Kim is going to post some of her own updates!!

January 6th Update
Happy New Year to everyone! We have started our new year off with a real blessing. We got 100% confirmation that we are having a little boy! He is 11oz. and seems to be a little shy. He was cuddling up next to his big pillow (Kims placenta) and wouldnt look our way completely. He did show us his profile though. I think he will be a looker!! We got to see both his legs, both his feet, both his arms and hands, and all his fingers and toes. Also, we saw his kidneys, brain, spine, butt, bladder, and most importantly his heart!! The doc tells us he is a healthy baby and running right on schedule to meeting his arrival date of May 29th (FYI- the doc also said he was the only baby the whole day who was actually right on schedule.....bet hes competitive!). All of Kims bloodwork was excellent. There are no signs of any type of health risks or disorders. I have to say that the ultrasound was amazing. We actually got to watch him in 3d and its unbelievable. We have it on a DVD to show everyone who wants to see it! We could have sat there for hours and hours and watched that. He would rub his eyes occasionally as if to say "turn out the light!" When we go back next month, we get to have another ultrasound, so thats exciting.
We also had a very nice Christmas present this year. On the way to Pikeville for the holidays, Kim felt the little guy move! Then the next night I felt him moving while we were lying in bed. Since then, he has been all over the place. The kid may end up being an NFL punter with the kicks he has been placing on Kims belly. We can just watch her stomach and see him moving around in there. Speaking of belly, Kims bump is seriously showing now!!
Well, our next appointment is Feb. 3rd at 3:30 where we will get the ultrasound and just a check-up. We hope to have some new pictures up very soon of Kim and of the baby. Stay tuned for updates soon.........
