January 6th Update

Happy New Year to everyone! We have started our new year off with a real blessing. We got 100% confirmation that we are having a little boy! He is 11oz. and seems to be a little shy. He was cuddling up next to his big pillow (Kims placenta) and wouldnt look our way completely. He did show us his profile though. I think he will be a looker!! We got to see both his legs, both his feet, both his arms and hands, and all his fingers and toes. Also, we saw his kidneys, brain, spine, butt, bladder, and most importantly his heart!! The doc tells us he is a healthy baby and running right on schedule to meeting his arrival date of May 29th (FYI- the doc also said he was the only baby the whole day who was actually right on schedule.....bet hes competitive!). All of Kims bloodwork was excellent. There are no signs of any type of health risks or disorders. I have to say that the ultrasound was amazing. We actually got to watch him in 3d and its unbelievable. We have it on a DVD to show everyone who wants to see it! We could have sat there for hours and hours and watched that. He would rub his eyes occasionally as if to say "turn out the light!" When we go back next month, we get to have another ultrasound, so thats exciting.

We also had a very nice Christmas present this year. On the way to Pikeville for the holidays, Kim felt the little guy move! Then the next night I felt him moving while we were lying in bed. Since then, he has been all over the place. The kid may end up being an NFL punter with the kicks he has been placing on Kims belly. We can just watch her stomach and see him moving around in there. Speaking of belly, Kims bump is seriously showing now!!

Well, our next appointment is Feb. 3rd at 3:30 where we will get the ultrasound and just a check-up. We hope to have some new pictures up very soon of Kim and of the baby. Stay tuned for updates soon.........

DECEMBER 16th

Today we got to hear the little tikes hearbeat. We sat in the doctors office for an hour and a half, then waited, impatiently I might add, for the doc to find the heartbeat. Finally, thump thump thump!! Its very relieving to hear the heartbeat and know that everything is ok. Also, the doctor keeps saying he is an active little thing. Yes, she said "HE", so that boosts our confidence in the prediction it is in fact a boy. I asked her if she thought that was normal or are we going to have an out of control kid?! Its normal.



We go back January 6th at 3:30 for the "big ultrasound" to find out once and for all if it is a boy or a girl. Until then...........

December 4th update with "The Bump Beginning"

Here ya go. We are at 15 weeks and these are the first glimpses of "the bump" with many more to come. Kim is starting to feel alot better and we hope that the nauseau is beginning to fade. Our next appointment is December 16th which is coming up soon! Everybody feel free to comment on our page and throw out your suggestions for names!!! Til next time......

Its all falling in place and we want to share with everyone as we go along. We first met on October 30th, 2004, got engaged August 2nd, 2007, and married on May 30th, 2008. Then on September 21st and 4 pregnancy tests later.........we are PREGNANT and happier than ever! I cant explain the feeling that was experienced that night. Only that we were laughing, crying, smiling, shaking, etc. all at the same time.

We had our first ultrasound in November and Kim is now roughly 14 weeks along. The doctor told us not to expect to know what the sex of the baby was at the stage........buuuut, either the kid has a tail or its a BOY! We arent 100% sure, but its very much looking that way! Im sure alot of you are still thinking "no way they know that early" , but for those of you who have seen the ultrasound, well, it speaks volumes!

Most everyone knows by now, but im sure there are some people out there who still dont. If not, SURPRISE! We will keep this up to date and hope everyone visits from time to time to drop a line or just keep up with us. Thanks and looking forward to May 28th which is the predicted due date!!!!
